Heavily peated Campbeltown single malt, matured in 60% sherry casks and 40% bourbon casks.
The use of both sherry and bourbon casks in maturation give an initial rush of both sweetness and spice before the peat smoke arrives to overwhelm the senses.
Second in the Rundlets & Kilderkins series from Springbank Distillers
From a combination of bourbon and sherry casks comes a 14 year old Longrow.
You feel the warmth of this Longrow all the way down to your boots!
Incredibly well balanced - rich and creamy with a slight medicinal hint. The smoke is always present, washing over the palate in waves, like the soft billows of smoke from the kiln.
Blended from a mixture of Bourbon and sherry casks this picked up the top prize in its category at the World Whisky Awards 2010.
The ace in the Springbank range. Matured exclusively in sherry casks the resulting whisky is a sweet old style Springbank.
