Colour - Pale amber.
Without water

Nose - Rich, oily - polished leather and sherry wood. Lots of fruit character - fruitcake, figs and dates. Subtle smokiness on the edges.

Palate - Smoky with rich, sherry wood flavours. Delicate fragrant notes with an earthy spicy character.
With water

Nose - Burnt, fruity aromas combine with treacle and dark chocolate. Some nutty notes also present. The smoky character is never too far away.
Palate - Rich, sherry wood with smoky - wood smoke flavours. Develops with more dried fruit and spices emerging.
Body - Rich and mellow.

Finish - Sherry with smoky edge.
