Membership gets you discounted and priority access to our various online and sit down tastings throughout the year as well as priority access to our Whisky Festival (the next one will be on November 25th 2023)

During these changing times, some of our tastings are being held online, and some as sit down tastings at local venues. 

During live streamed sessions we have guest speakers and taste 8 different whiskies - sometimes from the same distillery, sometimes from several. The current cost for these tastings is £18 for members and £23 for non-members. Members will receive a discount code by email for each tasting to use online, or you can still purchase in store making sure you let the staff know you're a member in order to get your discount. Raffle tickets for the online tastings can purchased online or in store prior to the tasting.

Sit down tastings are held in one of two venues, either The Station Hotel, Lovers Walk, Dumfries, or The Troqueer Arms, Troqueer Road, Dumfries. The former is a larger venue and we can normally sit around 105 members, but we are currently limiting this to 75 and the former around 30 - 35. Again, 8 whiskies are sampled and we have a break after the first 4 to have either sandwiches (at the Troqueer Arms) or cheese & biscuits (at the Station Hotel) Raffle tickets are sold at these events and separate draws held at each.

We generally have a guest speaker or two at the Station Hotel, and Brian takes the floor for a more informal approach at the Troqueer Arms.

Members receive an email newsletter every 4-6 weeks with information and booking forms for upcoming tastings and events, any special offers and news of the previous tastings as well as any other information on new products.

*We are returning to sit down tastings but will also keep the opportunity for members to take part online and will live stream  OR record and stream every tasting as well (as soon as we figure out how). Sit down tastings will be members only.

We are currently using Fedex for most of our deliveries and most orders are delivered the following working day.

Orders over £100 are delivered free of charge to mainland UK.Unfortunately Off Shore charges will apply and we cannot avoid this.

WE DO NOT CURRENTLY SHIP OVERSEAS OUTWITH THE UK

We are also happy to deliver local orders (within 20 miles of Dumfries) free of charge to. We do these deliveries in our own van and this option can be found in the Shipping drop down box in the Shopping Cart. Please note though, that local deliveries may take a day or two longer as it depends which route we are taking or have just been on. If we have just delivered to Annan for example when your order comes through, it may be another couple days before we go that way. IF YOU WANT YOUR ORDER IN THE NEXT TWO DAYS, then please choose Next Day Delivery

For off shore and some Highlands destinations we will most likely use Parcelforce or Royal Mail and it may take a day or two longer to reach you.

Off-shore destinations do not qualify for free shipping due to our costs, please choose off shore and NI for the correct price.
