Stiùireadair (pronounced 'stew-rahdur') is the distillery's newest and thrilling addition to their Bunnahabhain range of single malt whiskies. To create Stiùireadair, Dr Kirstie McCallum, their Master Blender, has carefully selected maturing spirit of varying ages from first and second fill sherry casks, housed in their coastline warehouses to construct a dram that truly exposes the coastal nature of the Bunnahabhain Islay single malt whisky. Unpeated, un-chillfiltered and with the sherry influence everyone knows and loves with Bunnahabhain, Kirstie has crafted a fresh and vibrant new member of their single malt family. A great whisky to celebrate all that is good about life! If you close your eyes while enjoying your dram, Stiùireadair ('Helmsman' in Gaelic) will guide you back to our distillery pier, looking out towards the Sound of Islay, while listening to the sea washing over Bunnahabhain's stony beach... Slainte! Tasting Notes:

Colour - Amber Gold, autumnal golden Islay sunrise.

Nose - Dried fruit and creamy caramel with hints of brine, vanilla, nuts and a touch of spice.

Palate - Creamy mouth feel with a dried fruit influence, sea salt, creamy caramel with hints of nuts and a gentle spice.

Finish - Long and lingering with hints of dried fruit.

We are currently using Fedex for most of our deliveries and whilst there are options for an economy and next day delivery, in most cases all orders are delivered the following day.

Orders over £90 are delivered free of charge to mainland UK.Unfortunately Off Shore charges will apply and we cannot avoid this.

We are also happy to deliver local orders (within 20 miles of Dumfries) free of charge to. We do these deliveries in our own van and this option can be found in the Shipping drop down box in the Shopping Cart. Please note though, that local deliveries may take a day or two longer as it depends which route we are taking or have just been on. If we have just delivered to Annan for example when your order comes through, it may be another couple days before we go that way. IF YOU WANT YOUR ORDER IN THE NEXT TWO DAYS, then please choose ParcelForce 48 or 24

For off shore and some Highlands destinations we will most likely use Parcelforce or Royal Mail and it may take a day or two longer to reach you.
