Oat were used widely by British and Irish distillers through the 1800s, along with other cereals, to soften and sweeten spirits such as Poitín and pot distilled whisk(e)y. Renowned for creating a creamy rich mouthfeel , oats fell out of favour due to their relatively poor yielding crop (therefore higher cost) and difficulty to work with in anything other than the most expert of distilling hands. By trial-distilling Scottish oats (for rich creamy mouthfeel) along with English wheat (for lightness and sweetness) and a small amount of Scottish Rye (for a touch of spice), this unique triple-grain recipe has resulted in a vodka that is designed to be sipped and savoured in premium drinks, either a classic Dry Martini with a lemon twist or simply on the rocks with lemon and a splash of tonic water. THE PERFECT DRY MARTINI Brochan Oat Vodka’s elegant purity and smooth flavour makes it the perfect vodka for a sophisticated Dry Martini To prepare the drink you will need: 2 parts (about 60ml) Brochan Oat Vodka ½ part (about 15ml) Noilly Prat Dry Vermouth Lots of good cubed ice Twist of lemon peel Chill your Martini serving glass (either briefly in the freezer or fill with ice and empty). Add large cubes of ice and the Vermouth to a stirring glass or strainer and stir to coat the ice. Pour any excess through a strainer keeping the coated ice in the glass before adding the Brochan Oat Vodka and stirring for 30-40 seconds to dilute. Strain the cold spirit into the Martini glass. Garnish with a long twist of fresh lemon peel.

We are currently using Fedex for most of our deliveries and whilst there are options for an economy and next day delivery, in most cases all orders are delivered the following day.

Orders over £90 are delivered free of charge to mainland UK.Unfortunately Off Shore charges will apply and we cannot avoid this.

We are also happy to deliver local orders (within 20 miles of Dumfries) free of charge to. We do these deliveries in our own van and this option can be found in the Shipping drop down box in the Shopping Cart. Please note though, that local deliveries may take a day or two longer as it depends which route we are taking or have just been on. If we have just delivered to Annan for example when your order comes through, it may be another couple days before we go that way. IF YOU WANT YOUR ORDER IN THE NEXT TWO DAYS, then please choose ParcelForce 48 or 24

For off shore and some Highlands destinations we will most likely use Parcelforce or Royal Mail and it may take a day or two longer to reach you.
