Coppersmith is the very first whisky in Ardgowan Distillery’s Clydebuilt series. It is still a few years before they will be distilling whisky so in the meantime they’ve put their passion into this new series - using all of the skills and experience of their master whisky maker, Max McFarlane. A whisky to savour, Coppersmith is a limited-edition blend of malts from Speyside and Highland distilleries wholly matured in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks, selected and blended by Max. The craft and skill of the coppersmiths of the Clyde shipyards meant ‘Clydebuilt’ became a byword for ‘well-built’. It is this spirit that is to be found in every bottle of Clydebuilt whisky.
