This red wine is made using an ancient winemaking technique called “ripasso”. This consists in introducing a part of Valpolicella, produced the preceding autumn, onto Amarone wine marc after these have been decanted in March. The grapes used to produce this wine come from vineyards located on the Moraine Hills in the Valpolicella area. Colour: strong ruby red. Clear and transparent. Bouquet: ample and complex. Notes of cherry, raspberry and redcurrant give freshness to the wine. Flavor: the wine is fruity, well-balanced and well-structured. Alcohol and acidity are in good armony. The wine is warm and round. The after taste confirms the character of the bouquet. This wine has a long-lasting and persistent flavor. Suited for ageing: 12/15 years Combinations: red meat, game and cheeses. Vegetarian friendly

We are also happy to deliver local orders (within 20 miles of Dumfries) free of charge to. We do these deliveries in our own van and this option can be found in the Shipping drop down box in the Shopping Cart. Please note though, that local deliveries may take a day or two longer as it depends which route we are taking or have just been on. If we have just delivered to Annan for example when your order comes through, it may be another couple days before we go that way. For off shore and some Highlands destinations we will most likely use Parcelforce or Royal Mail and it may take a day or two longer to reach you.

Off-shore destinations do not qualify for free shipping due to our costs, please choose off shore and NI for the correct price.
