Established in Dijon in the heart of Burgundy in 1841, Auguste-Denis Lagoute created the first ever crème de cassis, inspired by a popular local drink of the time made with red fruit and spices known as Ratafia de Neuilly. Auguste’s daughter Elisabeth Lagoute married Henri Lejay, who set his mind to further developing the house’s name for quality in drinks production. Since then, generations of the Lejay and Lagoute families have worked together, continuing a tradition creating authentic French liqueurs. This one is the Creme de Mures from their Sisca range of Liqueurs... blackberries or brambles (depending where you come from) and is utterly delicious.

We are currently using Fedex for most of our deliveries and whilst there are options for an economy and next day delivery, in most cases all orders are delivered the following day.

Orders over £90 are delivered free of charge to mainland UK.Unfortunately Off Shore charges will apply and we cannot avoid this.

WE DO NOT CURRENTLY SHIP OVERSEAS OUTWITH THE UK

We are also happy to deliver local orders (within 20 miles of Dumfries) free of charge to. We do these deliveries in our own van and this option can be found in the Shipping drop down box in the Shopping Cart. Please note though, that local deliveries may take a day or two longer as it depends which route we are taking or have just been on. If we have just delivered to Annan for example when your order comes through, it may be another couple days before we go that way. For off shore and some Highlands destinations we will most likely use Parcelforce or Royal Mail and it may take a day or two longer to reach you.
