HALF BOTTLE

Grape Variety : Chardonnay. Vineyard Site: a large terroir in the south of Burgundy, close to Pouilly-Fuissé. The size of this region allows considerable freedom in selecting wines with different characteristics. Soil: clay and chalk dating from the Jurassic era are very favorable to the cultivation of the Chardonnay grape. Vinification Pressing: very slow so as to respect the fruit. Juices from the last pressings are not retained. No artificial yeasts or enzymes are used. Ageing Type: stainless steel vats. Length: 6 to 8 months. Throughout the ageing process, decisions are taken only after careful tasting evaluation. The data obtained is completed through technical analysis. As with every other Joseph Drouhin wine, absolute priority is given to the true expression of terroir and character of the vintage. Tasting note by Véronique Boss-Drouhin "The colour of the wine is bright and limpid. The nose is floral and fruity. Very straightforward and direct on the palate, as if biting into a grape. Fresh and light, with a very pleasant aftertaste".

We are currently using Fedex for most of our deliveries and whilst there are options for an economy and next day delivery, in most cases all orders are delivered the following day.

Orders over £90 are delivered free of charge to mainland UK.Unfortunately Off Shore charges will apply and we cannot avoid this.

We are also happy to deliver local orders (within 20 miles of Dumfries) free of charge to. We do these deliveries in our own van and this option can be found in the Shipping drop down box in the Shopping Cart. Please note though, that local deliveries may take a day or two longer as it depends which route we are taking or have just been on. If we have just delivered to Annan for example when your order comes through, it may be another couple days before we go that way. For off shore and some Highlands destinations we will most likely use Parcelforce or Royal Mail and it may take a day or two longer to reach you.
