Tasting Note: Soft, full-bodied Australian Shiraz, juicy plums, blackberries and cherries pouring onto the tongue accompanied by a whiff of toasty oak. Food Matching: The tannins pair perfectly with a juicy, rare rump steak. Vineyard: After the hot dry end to the year, near perfect January weather has resulted in an outstanding vintage of intensity and balance. The flavoured packed red are showing early signs of a superb year in the Hunter Valley. This is arguably one of the greatest red vintages. Vinification: Crushed into a combination of open top and static fermenters. Following a gentle three day pre-fermentation cold soak the wines were inoculated with cultured yeast. Colour& tannin were extracted from the skins by a combination of plunging and pumping-over for a period of up to ten days. After pressing the wines were transferred to a combination of stainless steel, to give freshness, and oak barrels, ten percent new to give richness & complexity, for a maturation period of fifteen months. Once optimum maturation was obtained, the parcels were blended and prepared for bottling. Suitable for Vegetarians

We are also happy to deliver local orders (within 20 miles of Dumfries) free of charge to. We do these deliveries in our own van and this option can be found in the Shipping drop down box in the Shopping Cart. Please note though, that local deliveries may take a day or two longer as it depends which route we are taking or have just been on. If we have just delivered to Annan for example when your order comes through, it may be another couple days before we go that way. IF YOU WANT YOUR ORDER IN THE NEXT TWO DAYS, then please choose Next Day Delivery

For off shore and some Highlands destinations we will most likely use Parcelforce or Royal Mail and it may take a day or two longer to reach you.

Off-shore destinations do not qualify for free shipping due to our costs, please choose off shore and NI for the correct price.
