SINCE 1897, here has been a quiet revolution unfolding in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. The naturallysoft water of the Alt-na-Frith burn is introduced to tender Scottish barley and, later, from the tall, slim copper stills of the Tomatin Distillery a mellow, fruity spirit is born. Gentle maturation in carefully selected casks lets the subtle character of this distinctive single malt emerge, ensuring that the softer side of the precious spirit is never overpowered. The French Collection exhibits the unique influence imparted by different types of French Wine & Spirits casks in an exceptional showcase. The whisky, distilled in 2008, was laid down in traditional Scotch Whisky oak casks prior to being moved into Monbazillac, Sauternes, Rivesaltes and Cognac casks for its final maturation, resulting in a magnificent collection. Distilled on 19th September 2008, this whisky marries our characteristic fresh fruit notes incredibly well with the sweet nutty flavours for which Rivesaltes wine is known. Contrasting sweet and bitter flavours dominate the palate, held together by an underlying barley aroma. The finish is velvety with the flavours from the palate lingering for some time. Distilled on 19/9/2008 - Moved to Rivesaltes Cask on 13/7/2017 - Bottled on 29/3/2021
