At Glenglassaugh, in addition to the traditional production, a very limited quantity of whisky using richly peated malted barley as the cereal varietal is produced. The malted barley has been dried in the traditional way, over peat infused kilns, giving the whisky its unique smoky flavour. Glenglassaugh ‘Torfa’, with its peaty, phenolic nature, is a unique expression, and is quite different to the usual style of whisky produced in the Highlands. Colour: Gleaming yellow gold. Nose: Vivid, sweet, sooty campfire smoke and sea air infuses zest of lime, apricot jam and ripe soft fruits; all gently warmed by hints of stem ginger and cracked black pepper. Palate: An eloquent, sweet coastal peat smoke engulfs candied peel over melon, pineapple and roasted red apples. Oat biscuits, hints of heather honey and a gentle cigar box spice all combine to give a terrific balance to the expressive smoky character. Finish: A heady, yet elegant, harmony of distinct coastal peat and striking spiced fruit flavours.

Orders over £100 are delivered free of charge to mainland UK.Unfortunately Off Shore charges will apply and we cannot avoid this.

We are also happy to deliver local orders (within 20 miles of Dumfries) free of charge to. We do these deliveries in our own van and this option can be found in the Shipping drop down box in the Shopping Cart. Please note though, that local deliveries may take a day or two longer as it depends which route we are taking or have just been on. If we have just delivered to Annan for example when your order comes through, it may be another couple days before we go that way. IF YOU WANT YOUR ORDER IN THE NEXT TWO DAYS, then please choose Next Day Delivery

For off shore and some Highlands destinations we will most likely use Parcelforce or Royal Mail and it may take a day or two longer to reach you.

Off-shore destinations do not qualify for free shipping due to our costs, please choose off shore and NI for the correct price.
